Trevaylor Campsite Location

Trevaylor Campsite is set in the far west of Cornwall and its breathtaking scenery offers an aura of peace and tranquillity that is often hard to find nowadays; yet excitement and entertainment can be found nearby for those who seek it. Places of interest and beauty, such as Mousehole, Newlyn, Land’s End, St Ives, Lamorna Cove, Cape Cornwall, Porthcurno Beach and the Minack Theatre are all nearby.

A short distance away is the long golden sandy beach of Sennen Cove which boasts the cleanest waters in the UK as well as the most consistent waves making it a surfer’s paradise.

The nearby coastal and inland paths are ideal for walkers, cyclists and birdwatchers. The local cliffs are also popular with climbers from all over the country – the well known Bosigran and Chair Ladder are within three miles of the site.

There are numerous sandy coves and beaches waiting to be discovered, fascinating prehistoric sites with their stone circles to explore, character towns and villages to visit, offering enough leisure opportunities to satisfy the most demanding enthusiast.

The ancient village of St Just is less than one mile away. Here you will find a thriving arts scene that includes the annual Lafrowda Festival, a celebration of community and local art. The campsite is situated in the heart of the famous tin mining country and many of the scenes from the television series of Poldark were also filmed in this area.

The world famous Minack Theatre at Porthcurno, with its back drop of the Atlantic Ocean, is an open-air theatre providing a wide variety of weekly productions throughout the summer.

Many visitors also enjoy a day or two on the Isles of Scilly.

You’ll find the best of all worlds awaiting you, as this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, sandwiched between the Atlantic coast to the west and north and spectacular moorland to the south and east, offers wonderful variety.

Trevaylor Campsite can be found one mile to the North of St Just on the B3306 Lands End to St Ives scenic coast road – “one of the most romantic roads in Britain”. The 17-mile stretch of coastal path between St Just and St Ives is arguably the most beautiful and certainly the most remote section of the entire coast path – and yet Trevaylor is situated just 500m away from it.

Even though we are remote we have a fantastic bus service and the stop is located right outside the campsite,  in the season an open topped bus called the Land’s End Coaster runs from Lands end to St Ives, taking in the stunning coast road that runs by the campsite with many breathtaking sites and views along the way, with plenty of places to stop and explore, it also enables you to leave the car behind or walk a linear route and use the bus to get back!

With improvements to the road network you’ll be surprised how easy it is to get here – a little further to travel, a whole lot more to enjoy.
