As the Spring Bank holiday weekend and half-term approaches we are all set to receive a full house of guests here at Trevaylor Caravan and Camping Park, in the far west of Cornwall. The Tin Coast which site on the door step of our lovely little family run campsite is in glorious bloom with both spring and summer flowers of all kinds. The cliffs are awash with bright yellows of the gorse and pinks and whites of Campions and of course the carpets of Thrift are taking shape quite nicely too. The wild garlic is just receding now and being superseded by the deep blue-purple of the late bluebells.
There are bumble bees and birds buzzing about in all shapes and sizes and guises. We have ramblers, explorers, cyclists and climbers to name but a few of the types of active people that we have staying on our site at the moment. Joining us soon we will have many families with their children coming to enjoy the Cornish delights of the area; the clean sandy beaches, the beautiful cliff walks, the open-air theatre which is the Minack Theatre, The Telegraph Museum at Porthcurno, Cape Cornwall, Lands End, St Michaels Mount, Geevor Tin Mine Museum – all these places are a must for any visitor to this wonderfully rich and diverse part of West Cornwall.
And don’t forget for a spot of retail therapy, mixed with a dash of dining and some beach relaxation all in one day there is always St Ives – which you can get to directly from Trevaylor along one of the most scenic and beautiful roads in the country! We hope to see you soon, Michelle, Charlie, Eva and George.
